Welcome to Flight 2018. Please relax and fasten your seat belts. During this flight you may experience joy, persistence, sadness, loneliness, frustration, disappointment, loss, excitement, anxiety, contentment, cheerfulness, loss; and more. Above all else: sit back and enjoy the ride.
January is the start of the year…duh! This year I’m so excited that the 1st is a Monday, because Monday is the beginning of the week for me. For all who may be confused, my week runs from Monday to Sunday, not Sunday to Saturday.
For the past few years, I have not made any goals on New Year what so ever, but this year I decided to partake in this strange reoccurrence. My main goal is to keep up with a bullet journal, which you will see very often on Mondays. Today, I want to share my first bujo spreads of the year, including: trackers, calendars, and other lists.
This is my current cover page for my very first Bullet Journal. I used a red solo cup and a blue pen to make the “spiral” effect. I also chose my word of the year: conquer. I chose this word because I want to conquer everything in my path and all the goals I have set for myself this year.
These are my first pages of my journal. The page on the left I decided to title: Many Moods of Me. I created a grid of the next year to track how I’m feeling every day corresponding with certain colors.
Yellow —–> Happy: joyful, elated, bliss, loving, pumped up.
Orange —–> Stressed: worried, overwhelmed, fretful
Dark Pink –>Relaxed: content, peaceful, serene, zen
Green———>Productive: busy, on fire, focused.
Purple——–>Grateful: thankful, full of love, appreciative
Blue————>Ugh!: tired, exhausted, sad
Red————->Angry: frustrated, hangry.
The page of the right is my Yearly Goals that I have compiled into a bullet list. I’m so excited about these goals because they’re hard but still achievable!
My Yearly Goals:
- One thousand (1000) followers on Instagram.
- Ten thousand views in one month. (Blog.)
- One thousand (1000) followers on my blog’s facebook page.
- Read 30 books.
- Be more active.
- Be more organized.
- Finish writing my novel.
Next is my birthdays and holidays spread. This is a chart full of friend’s birthday and holidays that are important to me. For this, I used a red solo cup and a bowl to create a round shape. I also used an assortment of pens and markers. I really like how it came out and how easily I filled out the chart. I was surprised to see how many birthdays and holidays took up this chart and how easily it was before to forget some of them.
Next is my Period Tracker and Books I’ve Read pages. Ladies, a period tracker is so essential. I often find myself forgetting when I’ve had mine and not knowing when my next one will be. This results in not being prepared and having to rush out to stores at ten o’clock at night. I’ve decided to add this chart to my bullet journal so that I can finally keep track of it.
The page on the right is the Books I’ve Read chart. For this I drew a stack of books and I’ll be writing down all the books I read over the course of 2018. As previously mentioned, my goal for the year is 30 books.
Next up is my January Calendar. I haven’t yet filled it out except for my January goals and my Quote of the Month.
My January Goals:
- walk/run 12 miles
- drink 6 cups of water per day
- compose 12 blog posts
- read 3 books
Quote of the Month:
“I have too much greatness awaiting me on the other side of this challenge to allow my fears to serve as a road block.” -Carmen Polk
Next up is my habit tracker and my sleep tracker for the month of January. Some of the habits I want to attain every day this month are to take my vitamins, wash my face, be awake by 9am, no soda, 15 minutes of cleaning; and more.
Next and lastly, we have my week one spread. I chose a really simple box theme to keep track of things I need to do and my water intake. It’s simple yet affective.
I’m so excited to share my Bullet journal experience with all of you! I’d love to hear all of your goals for this year and this month!!
