After reading some articles about plastic toothbrushes, I decided to make a switch to a Bamboo Toothbrush, and lucky for me, Ibotta had a cashback deal. That’s right, $1.00 back on an Adult WooBamboo Toothbrush. They also had one for the kids toothbrushes.

While at CVS, I decided to browse to see just how many vegan beauty products they sold. Boy, was I mesmerized. Thank you, Annapolis!!! I decided to buy three things:

  1. An adult soft WooBamboo Toothbrush
  2. Tom’s of Maine Antiplaque and Whitening Toothpaste
  3. Tom’s of Maine Creamy Coconut Triple Milled Bar Soap

After using these products for a few days, I’ve decided to write a review!

Vegan Product Review

WooBamboo Adult Soft Toothbrush: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Product Info:

Over a billion plastic toothbrushes are thrown out every year just in the United States alone! For those of you who don’t recognize what this means, it means that just toothbrushes create 50 million pounds of trash every single year in one country alone! What about other countries? The UK, Spain, India’ etc. Knowing this. why aren’t Colgate or Crest or other big companies making a change? Why is it always money over matter?

WooBamboo is different then all of that! Just from the title, you can tell that the toothbrush handle is entirely made from bamboo. Now don’t worry, they aren’t taking panda food. WooBamboo uses Moso bamboo, which is not consumed by pandas.

More facts? No problem! The handles are biodegradable. Which means not only will it degrade in the trash at a landfill and take reduce toothbrush waste, but you can also add it to your personal compost pile and the bristles are recyclable!! If I still haven’t sold you, then I also want you to know that the toothbrush is antimicrobial. If you don’t know what that means, it means you won’t have to worry about bacteria growing in or on your toothbrush handle. Oh, and one more thing, they are completely customizable! Click here to choose from bristle colors, name etches, handle shapes and more!!

My personal experience:

There’s only a few small cons to this super handy toothbrush. The first con is the price. I paid around $5.50 for the toothbrush and got $1.00 cash back through Ibotta. So technically, I paid around $4.50

To me, that’s an expensive toothbrush. Then again, it is made from bamboo…

The other con (that isn’t really a huge con) is that you definitely have to get used to the bamboo feeling in your mouth. Again, not real a con per se, but definitely a minor set back.

Now that that’s out of the way, I also have some pros. One is that they really do mean soft bristles. I’ve come in contact with a large amount of toothbrushes that are super firm even when the package says soft. It could be improper packaging, or it could actually be the company. Either way, WooBamboo surely scores.

I love the Eco-Friendliness of this brand and I will definitely be buying again in three months time.

Tom’s of Maine:  Natural Beauty Bar: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was surprised to see that Tom’s of Maine had five different soap bar options to choose from inside of CVS.

  • Morning Mint
  • Orange Blossom
  • Lavender-Tea Tree
  • Creamy Coconut
  • Fragrance-Free

After reading an article prior about certain essential oil scents being harmful for pets, i.e lavender, I decided to go with Creamy Coconut.

I’ll admit, I was very skeptical about buying it because a lot of bar soaps leave my skin feeling very tight. But the price was definitely worth it at only $2.99 which I’m pretty sure is cheaper than a regular bar of soap…

I’m going to be 100% hones when I say I have zero cons about this soap. It smells amazing, it’s affordable, and it cleans my skin with no tightness. I’m also surprised that it didn’t irritate my skin like most scented soaps. (I have eczema, so it’s really hard to find a product that isn’t irritating.) If you have eczema or a skin condition, or even just sensitive skin, remember that they also have an unscented soap.

Tom’s of Maine Toothpaste: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is another amazing product that had different kinds to choose from. I decided to go with the Antiplaque and Whitening – peppermint option, but you can click here to view all of their options, and trust me, you’ll want to look!

I was scared to buy this because every review I read was different. Some people said it left their mouth feeling unclean or that the toothpaste was gritty, and some people said the exact opposite. Either way, I decided to splurge and give it a try.

Let me tell you!!! Buying this toothpaste was the best decision I’ve ever made. I use it in the morning and then at night I use coconut oil and my mouth has felt the cleanest it ever has. (Okay, maybe not ever because the dentist cleans my teeth really good but it’s definitely a good and fresh clean!)

Are there any vegan products that you want to see a review on?? I’d love to hear and maybe I can get my hands on it! I love testing new products and giving 100% honest feedback. I want to inform you that even if a company were to pay for a post, that I would still be 100% honest.

I really hope you enjoyed this triple product rating. Happy Wednesday!

xoxo
