“I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day. When it’s cold outside, I’ve got the month of May.” ~ ‘My Girl’ by The Temptations
I don’t know about you, but it’s been raining all month long here in Maryland. It’s safe to say my plants won’t need watering for the next few millennia. In case all the Justin Timberlake memes didn’t warn you enough, a new month has arrived. If you haven’t seen any of the JT memes…..where have you been?!?!
Jokes aside, another month has come and gone and now we find ourselves in a new one. That’s not all, new months means Goal Reviews, setting new goals, new bullet journal spreads, and just a whole new vibe in general.
I was scrolling through Instagram when I decided on the theme I wanted to stick with in my bullet journal this month. After a lot of ideas, I decided on Hot Air Balloons and Clouds. I absolutely love hot air balloons and I’ve always wanted to take a ride on one. I saw a few other people doing a hot air balloon theme and of course, I follow the #hotairballoons on Instagram so I am always looking at them.
Let’s start by reviewing some of last month’s goals: Welcoming April – Goals, Quotes, and more!
One of my biggest goals was to start planting my herbs and I did it! I bought a Cilantro plant and started that out about a week or so ago. Then yesterday, as some of you may have seen on Facebook, I planted a bunch of herbs.
I use herbs all the time, and although they are cheap, I will end up saving a lot of money by growing my own.
After looking at really cool spreads, I decided to do a hot air balloon/clouds theme for May. I know May usually has to do with flowers and such, but I’m really feeling this theme! . . Can you believe it’s May already??? ——————————- Hashtags// #hotairballoon #bujo #bujoideas #bujomonthlyspread #bujoweeklyspread #May #itsgonnabemay #clouds #bulletjournal #bulletjournaling #newtobujo #blogger #diyblogger #lifestyleblogger #bblogger #airplane #cloudysky #bulletjournallove #springhassprung #springishere
I’m so in love with my new spread. I actually went to Michael’s to buy some cloud cardstock paper and I happen to think it’s very cute.
A few of my goals this month are to read 3 books, organize my craft materials, create a new recipe, and work on my Pinterest growth. I’m sure as the month goes on I will have some new goals I want to achieve, so I’ll definitely be writing them down. The book I’m currently reading is “Two by Two” by Nicholas Sparks. It is phenomenal so far!
What I’ve Been Up TO This Month
- Trying to work on working with some new brands.
- Playing video games. I just started playing Grand Theft Auto V again as well as Borderlands and Fortnite. More on this soon!
- Mom Mom, Sandi, and I have started making our own cards for holidays and such. We’ve probably gone to Michael’s everyday this month looking for stickers and washi tape that we like. We even bought an embossing machine!
I hope you enjoyed this short post. What have you done during the month of April?
